Message from the
President & CEO
I had the privilege of presenting at the Minnesota Medical Group Management Associations’ (MMGMA) summer conference in July titled “Value, Satisfaction, Health; Targeting the Triple Aim”. The topic of my presentation was “What’s Keeping us Up at Night: Perspectives from Health Care Leaders”. The conference was well attended, and the general feedback from fellow participants was that the conference had relevant content and very good information.
The objective of my presentation was to help participants view their health care organization and their role through a different lens by presenting perspectives shared by fellow colleagues. I shared a summary of Experienced Resources’ 2012 survey “Leadership Perspectives on Health Care” and discussed “So…what’s on your mind at 3:00am?
It’s not difficult to identify the issues that are keeping us up at night; I believe the challenge is how to keep ourselves and our staff engaged, motivated and energized while dealing with the issues. With that in mind, I had reached out to my network of health care colleagues and asked for their “Words of Wisdom”, and I received some fabulous feedback that I shared during my presentation and gave to participants as a parting gift.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have a question, a challenge, or a need.
I am looking forward to the fall colors, and I hope you have enjoyed your summer.
