Human Resources Leader

Client Challenge

While in the midst of a major HRIS implementation, a large metro hospital with over 4,500 employees recognized that their Human Resources (HR) leader lacked the skills needed to effectively manage this critical implementation and other key HR initiatives. With an immediate need for leadership, the organization approached Experienced Resources to provide a seasoned Interim HR Leader who could quickly assess and implement a HRIS roll-out plan, and support Benefit and Compensation priorities that included oversight of the annual benefit enrollment process.

Our Solution

Experienced Resources matched the Client to a seasoned leader with 20+ years of Human Resource leadership in a variety of dynamic, fast-paced work environments. This leader had demonstrated expertise in building HR departments and leading critical initiatives such as HRIS system implementation, compensation program design, and benefit program development.  Within three weeks of the initial request, the ER leader was actively engaged in the gap analysis, clarifying deliverables, and developing a work plan that would drive achievement of the desired goals.

“The Interim HR Leader worked in the system, not on it—which is exactly what we needed”, acknowledged the Hospital HR Director.  The ER leader rapidly identified solutions to some complex issues that would help advance the HRIS implementation and other key priorities. The ER leader worked with the team members to establish a stepped transition to the new HRIS system, while effectively simplifying work processes and reporting requirements in the process. The API system for Time and Attendance was implemented on schedule, despite a design flaw that required the team to virtually “start over”.  In addition, the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment process was executed flawlessly as a result of a solid communication plan and service-minded approach.  The HR department received “0” complaints during the course of the enrollment process.  In the post engagement review, the client commended the ER leader on her ability to model exceptional leadership, service, vision, thoroughness, and collaboration throughout the engagement.
